Some physicians have proposed unionization and collective action as a response to increasing administrative burdens, reduced autonomy, lack of adequate support during the Covid-19 pandemic, and other concerns. This webinar examined some of the potential benefits and hazards of physician unions. Presenters discuss the history of physician unions, reasons why physicians might want to form a union, and how unionization might affect physicians’ and patients’ conception of the medical profession.
