The Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) has announced its 2025 Call for Volunteers to fill roles across its committees, commissions, and workgroups. This is a valuable opportunity for SGIM members at all career stages to shape the work and direction of the society through active involvement.

Who Can Volunteer?

SGIM welcomes a broad and inclusive range of applicants—from full professors and researchers to residents, students, and associate members. Past volunteers are also encouraged to apply, as their experience and dedication are vital to SGIM’s ongoing efforts.

What Are the Requirements for Volunteering?

All applicants must be current SGIM members or associate members at the time of application.

Commitment
  • Committee and commission members are typically appointed for a three-year term.

  • Associate members generally serve two-year terms.

These longer terms allow volunteers to meaningfully engage with SGIM’s initiatives and make lasting contributions.
