Biography

Dr. Newman is a primary care physician at Banner – University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and an assistant clinical professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while training the next generation of physicians. Originally from Arizona, Dr. Newman completed her undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe before earning her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She returned to Phoenix to pursue her passion for community-focused medicine and medical education. Dr. Newman has a special interest in sickle cell care and works closely with patients living with this condition to improve their quality of life and access to care. She is committed to advancing primary care and addressing healthcare disparities in underserved populations. Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time outdoors in Arizona’s beautiful landscapes.
