Biography
Nat Prapasiri, MD, MPH, FACP, is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (UNM SOM) and a primary care physician. He also serves as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for Ambulatory Services and is the Vice President of the UNM SOM Alumni Association. Dr. Prapasiri earned his medical degree and completed his residency at UNM SOM, and holds a Master of Public Health from New Mexico State University.
He has received several awards, including the Teaching Award, the Hospital Medicine Outstanding UNM PCP award, and the GIM Division Outstanding Leadership award. Dr. Prapasiri has held key positions such as Medical Director of an academic primary care practice, GIM Advisory Council, and Director of Clinical Documentation for the Department of Internal Medicine. His dedication to quality improvement and preventative care is evident in initiatives like increasing pneumonia vaccination rates, reflecting his commitment to advancing healthcare delivery and improving patient outcomes.
